Abstract

  1. Sumatra Speciality Coffee (SSC) is a coffee bean processing company located in Pohan Tonga Village, Siborongborong District, North Tapanuli Regency. Where the production process in this company requires the help of equipment/machinery to carry out the production process. Machine maintenance is one of the factors that affect the production process. Because the machine is an equipment that is absolutely necessary for the company in production. At PT. SSC production process uses Huller machines, where Huller machines often experience damage, thus hindering the production process. Damage to the Huller engine occurs because there are critical components that cause damage. Regular checks and repairs will help the production process run smoothly. It is necessary to implement appropriate component maintenance measures. The method in this study is Reliability Centered Mintenance (RCM), which is to conduct an analysis using qualitative and quantitative approaches, determine the root cause of functional failure and provide the right solution. Based on the results of the RCM analysis, it was determined that the selection of maintenance actions for critical components of the huller engine, namely carburetor components, shafts, pulleys, v-belts, peeling eyes, filters, blowers, and elevators. With treatment actions based on Condition Directed (CD), the actions taken aim to detect damage by means of visual inspection.
