PENGARUH STRES KERJA TERHADAP KINERJA KARYAWAN DI PT SUMATERA SPECIALITY COFFEE (SSC)

Job stress is a condition of tension that affects one's emotions, thought processes and conditions. It is said further, that stress that is too great can threaten a person's ability to deal with the environment, which ultimately interferes with the implementation of his duties, which means interfering with his work performance. Employee performance is the result of work achieved by individuals in accordance with their roles or duties within a certain period, which is related to certain values or standards from the organization where the individual works. For PT. Sumatra Specialty Coffee (SSC) expects to have good employee performance, namely being able to provide friendly, professional service to the community, both to members of the cooperative and to the customers of the cooperative.
This study aims to examine partially and simultaneously how the effect of work stress on employee performance at PT. Sumatra Specialty Coffee (SSC). And is there any effect of work stress on employee performance at PT. Sumatra Specialty Coffee (SSC). In this research, it is a type of quantitative research. The data used are primary data and secondary data. Sampling is a random sample (random sampling). The population is employees at PT. Sumatra Specialty Coffee (SSC) and data obtained from distributing questionnaires to 80 employees of PT. Sumatra Specialty Coffee (SSC), which was obtained using simple random sampling, then analyzed using quantitative data analysis. Quantitative analysis includes validity and reliability tests, classical assumption tests, multiple regression analysis, hypothesis testing through the t test and F test, as well as analysis of the coefficient of determination (R2 ), while data processing uses SPSS 16.00 for windows.
From the results of research data processing obtained multiple linear regression Y = 2.532 + 0.140X1 + 0.830X2 + e. The results showed that the coefficient of determination seen in the Adjusted R Square value was 0.774, which means that what affects employee performance can be explained by the two independent variables, namely individual work stress and organizational work stress of 77.4%, and the remaining 22.6% can be explained by other variables outside this research model. Partially based on the results of the t test the variables in this study have a positive and significant effect on employee performance. Based on the F test shows that simultaneously or together the variables in this study, namely individual work stress and organizational work stress have a positive and significant effect on employee performance.
